How do I know when it's time to come in for a checkup?Patients should visit at least twice a year for a complete checkup and evaluation. We believe that prevention is the best medicine. Don't wait until you're in pain to come in! How can I ask the Doctor questions directly? This is never a problem! You will have plenty of one-to-one time with Dr. Cristofano, who will encourage you to ask questions. You may also call or email our office anytime with any questions you may have. What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?Call our emergency number and your call will be returned promptly. If Dr. Cristofano is out of town, coverage will be provided by a well-qualified local dentist. What payment options do you provide?Payment is expected at the time of service, unless other arrangements have been made with our financial coordinator. This is done in an effort to keep dental costs down while maintaining a high level of professional care. Knowing that no insurance plan will meet all of your financial dental needs, we offer several forms of payment, including all major credit cards, check, cash and a Dental Fee Plan. Ask our financial coordinator about discounts. Senior citizens receive a 10% discount. What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety? All dental instruments are put through our state-of-the-art, 4-step sterilization procedure. In addition, each patient gets his or her own water supply, and water lines are flushed daily with a sterilizing agent. I don't like drills. Are there any other options?Microabrasion offers a "no-shot" technique for fillings. I really don't like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax? We understand. If you're very apprehensive, you can make an appointment just to meet us and make sure you're comfortable before going ahead with treatment. We think our sympathetic staff and our extra patient comfort measures will help you feel better about dental treatment. We also offer nitrous gas and oral sedation. What happens if I miss an appointment?Failed appointments or last -minute cancellations can affect the outcome of treatment. If an appointment needs to be cancelled or changed, we request a minimum 24-hour notice or a $65 failed appointment fee will be assessed. Crowns, veneers, onlays, inlays, partials. where can I learn more about these procedures? Our extensive patient education library of brochures and videos will help you become familiar with the latest technology and treatments. And we're always here to answer questions. I brush every day but my breath just isn't fresh. Is there anything I can do?Yes. First, we determine whether bad breath stems from a problem in the mouth or in the gastric system. For oral problems, we offer a special breath kit that includes special toothpaste and rinse, instructions for brushing your tongue, and a highly effective mouth spray to freshen up during the day. |
